When do we first experience life? And how does that experience affect us now, today?
When I ask that questions many respond "when we are born". Others will say at fertilization when the sperm unlocks the magic of the egg and we begin our journey of growth and development as an embryo, foetus and new born babe. However, I think there is another place, much further back in our development where our experience begins.
The egg that becomes us, actually begins its existence as a follicle in the ovary of our mother when our mother is still a 2-3 month old foetus in the womb of our grandmother. How does what's going on with the grandmother affect this first experience of the world, or physical reality? With the people I've worked with, it affects each one of us differently. In pretending to be that cell awakening into existence for the first time, some are excited, in wonder at the new and happy. Others report feeling depressed and feeling that life is hard right from the beginning or in fear already for their very survival and existence.
What if, whatever was happening with our grandmother at the time of ththe creation of the egg/follicle cell life has a lot to do with shaping the way we experience physical reality, at least at a biological level. Many of us had grandmothers who were going through wars and experiencing terrible things. Intuitively we may know that it has had an effect on us. What can we do about it now This is where Reference Point Therapy begins with the clearing of the Key Developmental Events that create a biological blueprint of the emotional patterns in our life.
Since the mid sixties there have been experiments on the responses of cells to what the host is experiencing. Cells removed from a human and taken a distance away respond immediately to stresses on the human from which they came. So, whether the grandmother is experiencing happiness and ease or fear, depression, anger, resignation, not wanting to be in "this" situation, anxiety, that may be our first association with life. Also, this little cell/follicle experiences the gestation and birth of our mother, her life, and then if we have older siblings or if there were miscarriages, it experiences these, too. How does that affect us? And what can we do about it?
This is where Reference Point Therapy comes in. There are a number, by my count over 20, key developmental events from the time of this cell's first appearance in physical reality to our actual birth and numerous possible emotional patterns connected to each event. In our Level 2 class we teach you what these events are and how to use RPT to change the energetic blueprint that is present. That's what's so amazing about the Level 2 class -- one doesn't have to individually change each pattern, you can just work on the key developmental events and change many patterns at once. Of course, the class is only 3 days, so we teach you all the events and you have the opportunity in the class to work on the main events with each other. Then, your homework is to clear the others at home.
